Anthony from Weymouth, Massachusetts messaged "Digging my style" inquiring if I'd like to partake in his Super Secret Fan Club creating a handful of artist sketch cards for his parody of a parody — riffing off Garbage Pail Kids who carnival mirrored Cabbage Patch Kids.
With nostalgia being too great, a stack of blanks arrived along with reference cards to LBL's cavalcade of cafeteria rejects. Like Scruff McGruff I sniffed out my favorites including "Fire Hydrant Licks Dog" from ABC's 1987 "After These Messages" and ALF (Alien Life Form)—a tongue-in-cheek tribute to 26th Kansas Governor, Alf Landon. Alf won the 1936 Republican Nomination but lost his lunch in a landslide to FDR with just 8 electoral votes to Roosevelt's 523. Carry on my wayward son, I'm still part of Alf's Super Secret Fan Club.
